What this tool does
Plan an electric trip or charging session without depending on a country-specific tariff or charging-network API.
How to use it
- Enter distance and vehicle energy use per 100 km.
- Enter your electricity price, charging loss and charger power.
- Review battery energy, grid energy, cost and ideal time.
Formula and method
Battery energy = distance × kWh/100 km ÷ 100. Grid energy = battery energy ÷ (1 − loss rate). Cost = grid energy × entered price; ideal time = grid energy ÷ charger power.
Example
A 200 km trip at 18 kWh/100 km needs 36 kWh at the battery. With 10% loss the grid supplies 40 kWh; at 0.30 per kWh the estimate is 12.

Limits and notes
The charger may not hold its rated power, especially near a high state of charge. Idle fees, session fees, taxes, temperature, battery conditioning, route elevation and real tariff tiers are excluded.

Is charging time exact?
