What this tool does
Generates an 8–64 character password locally from selected lowercase, uppercase, number and symbol sets, with an option to remove ambiguous characters.
How to use it
- Choose a length; use a long value for important accounts.
- Keep at least one character set enabled and optionally exclude look-alike characters.
- Generate, copy, store it in a password manager, and do not reuse it.
Method
The page requests cryptographic random values from the browser and maps each value to the enabled alphabet. The displayed strength label is based mainly on length, not a full password audit.
Worked example
With length 20 and all four sets enabled, the output is one random 20-character string. Generating again creates a different candidate; copying does not save it for you.
Common uses
- Creating a unique account password
- Producing a temporary secret
- Avoiding ambiguous characters for manual entry
Limitations
A generated password is only useful if the device is trustworthy and the value is stored safely. The tool does not check breach databases, guarantee at least one character from every selected set, or replace multi-factor authentication. Modulo mapping can introduce a very small distribution bias.
FAQ
Does the site save generated passwords?
The generator runs in the browser; still treat clipboard history, extensions and a shared device as possible exposure points.
What length should I choose?
Follow the service policy and prefer a unique, long password stored in a reputable password manager.
