What this tool does
Turn copied notes, lists and spreadsheet exports into consistent text with several transformations in one deliberate pass.
How to use it
- Paste the text and choose only the cleanup rules you need.
- Select line order and letter case, then run the cleanup.
- Review the result and counts before copying the cleaned text.
Formula and method
Line endings are normalized first. Trimming, space collapsing, blank removal, duplicate removal and sorting run in that order; the selected case conversion runs last.
Example
Input three lines: “ pear ”, “Apple”, “pear”. Select line trimming, duplicate removal, ascending order and uppercase. The output is two lines: “APPLE”, “PEAR”.
Useful for
- Cleaning copied lists and notes
- Removing repeated spreadsheet rows
- Preparing consistent text before publishing
Limits and notes
Duplicate removal is exact after the selected whitespace cleanup. Sorting is language-aware but may not match a specialized dictionary, and case conversion has limited effect on scripts without letter case.
Frequently asked questions
Is the text uploaded?
No. The current implementation processes it inside this browser tab.
Can I undo a cleanup?
The original input remains visible until you replace or reset it, so compare both boxes before copying.
